Our Goals
The Children's Health Initiative of Orange County is embarking on an important fund raising program to address a critical issue: there are far too many children without health insurance. We will accomplish our mission by
- Implementing an efficient county-wide plan to find and enroll all eligible children in state and locally funded programs; educating their families in the use of health insurance; ensuring that each child has a primary physician and dentist; and retaining children who are already enrolled.
- By being able to provide funding assistance for low income uninsured children who are not eligible for government funded programs.
Success means...
We will provide support for enrollment, follow-up with families to ensure retention of benefits, and assist families in securing a primary physician and dentist for their children.
A remarkable degree of consistency exists across studies to support the relationship between health insurance and wellness. Access to health care positively affects children, families, and the community by improving the health and well-being of the children in our county.
